About Author Miriam Flock
Whether I'm mining the rich stories of my grandparents' experience as Jewish farmers in Geneva, Ohio, for my historical novel Wild Grapes, or exploring the complicated geometries of love in my poetry, I'm always striving to say something clear and meaningful about the way we humans live our lives.
My education had two distinct branches: I have a master's in creative writing from Stanford University and a master's in journalism from Columbia. Similarly, my career has been divided between writing poetry and fiction, and creating content on ethics as the former COO of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University.
